New Year, New Opportunity?
Only if you take diligent action toward the task at hand. Now is often the time for nearly the entire world to craft what is widely known as a 'New Years Resolution' which translates into something you plan to do or a goal you aim to accomplish. Yet, how many fall short of their profound resolutions? More than half, three-fourths, perhaps upwards of over ninety percent of people that put out a claim to change find themselves relegated back to the same old habits with nothing to be excited about, all before January is even over!
Why? And how do so many completely capable folks resign themselves away from a goal they desire before even an inkling of evidence things are working in their favor arrive? Just that - most often and especially today given the nature of technologies such as high speed internet, same day delivery and other services worthy of mighty kings, your average person has become quite close with convenience and instant gratification. Do something? Press a button, make a call, post online, and receive immediate feedback or response.
Given the nature of peoples' goals, often lofty and far reaching (which I support entirely) there has to be an acceptance that you will not have "right now" results the very first time you take action in line with this new ambition. This is where the psychological turmoil ensues and the self-inflicted annihilation of personal goals takes place. You do the thing(s) required at an all-star level on day 1, then you're just doing regular pro-style day 2, somehow day 3 has slipped into being average, and if you last the whole first week here comes the mediocrity before deciding to hell with it all and abandoning the course entirely - all because the results you desire have not yielded from a few days worth of effort.
True transformation comes down to one word: Consistency. The key is ultimately staying the course; when you set out a new audacious goal you also have an innate understanding of what you must do first. That is all that matters. Remember what the goal is, then boil things down to what must be done 'first' and take extreme action towards that. Repeat this process and there is nothing that can deter you - inevitably unforeseen problems and challenges will arise but all it takes is stripping away the fat, take no consideration into what "might be" and focus on what must be done now as well as what you are currently capable of. The most powerful part of being a daily action taker toward your new profound goal is that you remain in the headspace and mindset if you will of the new version of yourself, this is the key. That is why physical action taking is so important, it supports the new identity you seek to assume. Remember that all changes are born from within, eventually being expressed outward on the physical plane. Don't burn yourself out doing something trying to become different, take courage in knowing that you change the moment you make a decision and move towards that. Just allow yourself the proper window for the physical to reflect the inner world.
People quit because they are so focused on the grand imagery, the wonderful idea they have of what their new world will look and feel like once they have finally accomplished their great idea. And then reality hits, there's a long road ahead and they think "what's the use?" then continue down the path of regularity. The key is in remembering the beauty of your vision while transplanting the feelings that dream gives you into the present moment, tackling the task at hand with the resonance of your great dreams already complete.
Maybe the whole point isn't even the accomplishment, but rather the striving towards it. "What's the use?" is exactly the point. It matters not nor makes any difference whether or not your dream is realized or vision complete - the most paramount aspect of life is that you do everything in your personal will power, gathered all of your energies in the attempt, and leave no stone unturned.
Here are some poignant quotes to help drive home our essay on New Years Eve.

Always take faith that the greatest happenings compound over time.

Remind yourself constantly that the end result is nigh, but rather it's the process responsible for creating the conditions that will be your desired outcome.

Couldn't have said it better myself General. Waste not another moment in planning, go now!
I am unsure how this essay will be perceived, I meant not to craft an amalgamation of motivational slop that you may have heard a thousand times already. Regardless of what you have read above, my message today is this:
We are here, at the New Year, 2026. The time of 2025 is behind us as well as all the years that came before. Internalize that clearly, the past is gone, never to return. All the opportunities that were once there have faded to memory. What is before you now is all we have and will one day too be history. So spend not another moment in contemplation. Go now, second chances are a myth. Nothing comes around twice; make the very most of it and send your best shot. Put no trust in tomorrow.
